About the team:

Situated in the Planning, Regulation and Services Gold Coast department, the City Inspectorate Branch is responsible for enforcement of the City’s standards and local laws, across building, community, public safety and environmental health compliance to protect safety and amenity for the City’s residents and visitors. The community compliance business unit is responsible for patrolling and enforcing parking laws in Paid Parking and Timed Parking areas, off-street regulated parking areas, designated disabled parking bays, and respond to and investigate complaints and breaches of parking regulations. Review and manage unpaid parking fines and related disputes.

About the role: 

We are seeking motivated and organised individuals to join our City Parking team. This is an exciting opportunity within the City Inspectorate Branch, with multiple positions available across permanent, fixed-term, and casual employment. City Parking operates 7 days a week and shifts can be varied in length and scheduled at different times depending on operational requirements.

Responsibilities and duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing timely and accurate responses to regulated parking issues.
  • Interpretation and application of applicable State legislation and Local Laws.
  • Proficient use of mobile applications and software programs.
  • Issuance of Penalty Infringement Notices.

  • Are positive, friendly and work well within a team environment.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills with an ability to utilise active listening techniques.
  • Can efficiently manage time and prioritise your workload within reasonable time frames.
  • Are able to maintain a high level of fitness to meet the physical demands of the role.
