About the team
Infrastructure Operations are responsible for the operation of the transport network, the utilities network, sewage treatment plants, nurseries and the City's warehousing and distribution services.
To help us to achieve our goals, the Infrastructure Operations Branch is looking for a Warehouse Officer responsible for providing high-level warehousing and logistic support including receiving, receipting, issuing, delivering and stocktaking of materials. The position involves, entering data into SAP face-to-face counter customer service. The position requires high attention to detail ensuring accurate inventory management within the City's warehousing and materials management functions.
About the role
The warehouse team provide out of hours support to the City’s operational maintenance teams therefore this position has a requirement to be part of the call-out roster.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Maintaining very high accuracy when conducting inward goods receiving, system receipting, goods put away as well as goods issuing activities.
- Conducting all assigned activities in accordance with warehouse written procedures.
- Establishing and maintaining respectful, effective working relationships with all customers and stakeholders.
- Conducting all assigned activities with a safety-first mindset, ensuring adherence to City policies and procedures.
- Operating forklifts with various attachments, conducting deliveries by medium rigid truck or commuter van.
We’re looking for people who have:
- Certificate III in Warehouse Operations or the equivalent knowledge.
- Unrestricted class ‘C’ drivers' licence.
- Forklift Licence.
- High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) - Dogging (DG) - desirable.
- Current “MR” class licence – desirable.
- SAP experience - desirable.
