About the team
City Cleaning is a 24/7 operation with morning, afternoon and night shifts covered by City Cleaning staff to ensure the Gold Coast is clean and tidy, enabling residents and visitors to enjoy the amenities that the City provides.
About the role
The functions performed by City Cleaning include cleaning toilets and barbecues, collecting litter, emptying public space bins, street sweeping, hosing of pedestrian areas, beach cleaning, and collecting illegally dumped materials.
As a City Cleaning Worker, you will be responsible for the cleaning of public facilities, beaches, parks, foreshores, and roadways.
Key deliverables:
- Public area cleaning, including litter collection, public toilet cleaning and barbeque cleaning.
- Street sweeping
- Road and footpath flushing
- Sweeping the city-wide bikeways network
- Operating the City’s equipment and machinery
- Cleaning and recovery operations following weather events.
There are multiple vacancies available therefore working rosters, depot locations, and RDOs will be discussed during Interview Stage. Please note your roster preference in your Cover Letter.
We’re looking for people who have:
- C Class Driver’s Licence (Mandatory)
- General Construction Induction Card (White) (Mandatory)
- A high level of motivation, a can-do attitude and be a team player
