About the role
As a Cloud Engineer, you’ll play an important role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available cloud and on-premises infrastructure. You’ll support patching, lifecycle management, and disaster recovery (DR), while enabling automation, integration, and performance optimisation across hybrid environments.

- Automate provisioning and deployment using tools such as BICEP, Terraform, or Ansible.
- Configure and optimise Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Cost Management tools.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
- Perform regular patching and updates for Azure VMs, VMware-based on-prem servers, and associated infrastructure.
- Review and test DR plans for Azure and on-prem workloads to meet organisational continuity standards.
- Implement and maintain cloud security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and backups.
- Optimise cloud spend using native or third-party tools and Azure Advisor recommendations.
- Produce clear and up-to-date documentation of configurations, policies, and procedures.
We’re looking for people who have:
You’re a collaborative and proactive IT professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and driving cloud excellence across hybrid environments. You’ll bring a mix of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and a customer-focused mindset.
Ideally, you will have:

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (or similar Azure certification) would be considered highly desirable
- Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer (or equivalent certification) would be considered highly desirable
- Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) would be considered highly desirable
- Proven experience in designing and supporting Azure and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
