About the team
The Transport Maintenance Services section plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the city's infrastructure, ensuring safe, functional, and sustainable public assets. Our team provides comprehensive maintenance services for meter maintenance, roads, traffic lines and signs, stormwater drainage systems, bridges, beaches, footpaths and waterways.
About the role
The Traffic Works Tradesperson is responsible for the installation of our City's road and pavement line markings, road signage and traffic devices, as well as auditing signage and line marking as part of the whole of the City Maintenance Program.
- Installation of signage in compliance with the Austroads Standards
- Installation of road and pavement line marking
- Set-up of worksite to comply with Austroads Standards
- Delegation of daily work tasks
- Effective daily workflow management
We’re looking for people who have:
- Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent knowledge and experience
- MR Class Drivers Licence (Mandatory)
- General Construction Induction Card (White) (Mandatory)
- Statement of Attainment in Traffic Management Implementation or equivalent knowledge
- Experience in the installation of road and pavement markings, road signage and traffic devices
- A self-starter who manages a day-to-day workload
- A team player who positively contributes to the improvement of work processes and embraces change
