About the team
Our Fleet Maintenance team are a dedicated group of trade-qualified technicians who take pride in keeping the City's fleet of vehicles and plants running smoothly. With a strong focus on quality and efficiency, our team plays a vital role in ensuring our City's operations stay on track.
About the role
As a Fleet Mechanic, you'll have the opportunity to apply your expertise in maintaining and repairing a diverse range of heavy vehicles, trucks, plant machinery and other essential equipment. This is a hands-on role where your skills and knowledge gained through a Fleet Mechanical Technology or related trade will be put to the test.
We’re looking for people who have:
We are seeking individuals who are passionate about their trade and have the following skills and qualifications:
• Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or an equivalent trade qualification)
• Experience with a variety of heavy vehicles and plant machinery (highly advantageous)
• TMR Approved Examiner of 2nd Hand Vehicles (highly advantageous)
• Experience using Computerise Maintenance Management Systems such as SAP
• A self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• A responsible attitude towards timekeeping, work organisation and quality control
